What
types of service are available through the USA Mobility International
Network?
Traditional 1-way service and 2-way service.
What
is traditional 1-way service?
Traditional 1-way service enables a subscriber to receive a numeric or alphanumeric message on their 1-way pager.
If
I am a USA Mobility traditional 1-way customer, can I roam my
traditional 1-way service through out the USA Mobility International
Network?
Yes, in
order to roam internationally you need to be signed up with OmniRoam
International service. You must also have a 1-way pager that is programmed
on the 929.6625 frequency. To order OmniRoam International service
please call your
USA Mobility Service Representative.
How
do I roam my Traditional 1-way service when I travel to other countries?
Once you
are signed up with OmniRoam International service, you
call the OmniRoam "800" number and select the code for the country
you will be traveling to, by following the voice prompts.
It
is advised that you call the OmniRoam "800" number in order to change
your coverage area, prior to your international travel. This will
avoid having to incur International long distance charges when you
reach your destination. Once you have selected a different coverage
area via OmniRoam International, you will no longer receive any
messages until you have reached the coverage area you selected.
What
is 2-way service?
2-way service enables a subscriber to receive
and send alphanumeric messages to and from their 2-way
device to any device that has an e-mail address. (2-way device, PDA,
cell phone, computer, etc.)
How
do I roam my 2-way service when I travel to other countries?
If you have Deluxe Coverage and a 2-way device, you will be automatically
roam wherever USA Mobility International 2-way service is available.
How
do I dial "800" numbers from an International country?
Dialing
U.S. "800" numbers from an other country can be complicated.
In most countries you must have the assistance of an operator in
order to place a call to a U.S. "800" number.
